100% of the money raised goes directly to the Childhood Cancer Research Centre, through the Sick Kids Foundation, in memory of Liane Forrester.

In five years, A Run for Liane has raised over $161,000 including the charity challenge prize for the Largest number of Runners (first place in 2003 and 2004; second place in 2007).

Join our 2008 STWM team and you’ll…
• run or walk 5 k / ½ marathon / marathon for a good cause
• help us be eligible to win one of three charity challenge prizes of $5,000
• be part of an exciting event that has 10,000 + participants, including our team of 100+ and "The Joggler"
• get a preferred Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon registration fee of $50 (marathon and ½ marathon) / $25 (5k) to September 1, 2008, if you register online using the charity code or through A Run for Liane (cash or cheques only), using the paper form; otherwise:

• pay no additional fee to join our team, and will get a free A Run for Liane Team gift (minimum $50 donation required)
• raise over $500 (M & ½ M) or $250 (5km) and have your race entry fee donated to Sick Kids (some conditions apply)
• have a chance to win a prize if you are one of our top fundraisers
• learn to run programs and online training schedules for all three distances
• enjoy race day support
• high school students can qualify for 5 community service hours.
